Many people have wondered what it takes to get me to wake up early and be on time for work. Well now I know the answer, all it takes is a rare planetary alignment 
I woke up before dawn today and took my cheap “My First Telescope” with a crude hand built projection box to the beach to watch Venus transiting the Sun. It went really well, and I met some other amateur astronomers there too.
