Protests in New York

Here’s an article from the New York Times covering a huge bicyle mounted protest in New York against the Republican National Convention. About 5000 bike riders rode through Manhattan and past Madison Square Garden, the site of the RNC. About 100 protesters were arrested for blocking traffic and disorderly conduct.

Hurricane Charley Up Close

It’s 2:23 in the morning and I’m blogging this from the beach at Jackonville, FL. At this time hurricane charley is just off shore of Jacksonnville after traveling across Florida earlier today. Charley’s center of circulation is about 50 miles to the east of me.
