If you aren’t watching this yet, and you like good sci-fi tv shows, you really should watch Battlestar Galactica on the sci-fi channel. It’s phenomenal. I watched first runs of Star Trek the Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Babylon 5; and this is as good or better.

The basic plot is based on the original Battlestar Galactica series from 1978, where a rag-tag fleet of ships carry the only humans to survive a devastating suprise attack by the Cylons, robotic creatures bent on destroying humanity… or atleast it seems that way at first. The new Galactica lacks the campy storylines that were a feature of the original series. Instead the producers of the new series have gone for an ultra realistic feel that’s convicting and enthralling. No particle-of-the-week, no reset at the end of the episode, no stupid filler episodes, and most impressively no 1-2 seasons of fits and starts as the show gets its rhythm.

Watch this show.

Oh, and the executive producer is writing a blog. How cool is that!
