I was watching the olympics’ opening ceremonies earlier, and while I understand the need for commentators to explain certain aspects of the opening ceremony I think Bob Costas needs to learn when to shut the fuck up.

Novell has developed Xgl, an OpenGL based compositing system and window manager for X Windows. Check out the videos. This brings to linux some GUI features that Mac OS X has had for a few years, and Vista will be bringing to Windows towards the end of the year.
